Investigation- Animation

What is animation?
Animation is quality of being active or spirited or alive and vigorous or the condition of living or the state of being alive.
Computer animation is used to create animations [in animations] as well as special effects [in action movies]
Traditional animation- or classic animation is the oldest form of animation whereby each frame is drawn by hand.
Stop motion- also known as frame by frame is a technique whereby the impression of movement is created by using one or more still frames.
Computer animation- or CGI is simply creating moving images using computers.
Flip book- a book with a series of pictures such that when the pages are turned quickly it gives the illusion of a moving animation.



To create animations you can use:

Photoshop
2D design
3D design

ESPANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still in shock that Spain won the world cup, it's about time. The next one is in Brazil!! that one is bound to be good, hopefully Brazil takes the trophy in their own country.

as you might know, for Easter i went to Cape Town, the last time i went there i had no idea what was going on, i was five, but i went there again and i thought it most DEFINITELY the sickest most AMAZING place i have ever been to [its tied for first with Egypt]. What i thought was really cool was that its a massive town COMPLETELY surrounded by mountains!! seriously... you fly like right over them when you're landing. i am most definitely going there again, i might even decide to live there. if any one EVER asks you 'where do you want to go this holiday' say Cape Town i promise you will NOT regret it.

TECH TIMELINE

From the 4th- 27th of May 2010

4th-6th - Gather pictures and write text for the ‘ME’ and ‘MY FAMILY’ page.

7th -9th – gather work going into portfolio [Tech, Spanish power point, math graph…] for academics page.

11th- 22nd –take pictures during Alice in wonderland Aladdin rehearsal and basketball practice

4th-22nd- in spare time [which I will have], work on digital portfolio set up.

photoshop reflection

At first using photoshop was a challenge for me especially mr. potato head which was supposedly the easiest.

I think this is because there was alot of placing on top of the head and also the ears were quite challenging as it shows in workshop 1, I didnt quite master how to put the ears.

Other than this i mostly enjoyed the collage but i found placing the couples in different places the most amusing.

what is a resolution?
a resolution is the number of pixels per square inch on a computer-generated display; the greater the resolution, the better the picture

website reflection

I very much enjoyed making a website about my own country.
I had difficulties/ had to ask questions about

• hyperlinking but now i have more or less understood how it works
• saving my music into my flash disk so i could use it outside my z folder

i fully understood

• inserting pictures
• inserting music
• how dreamweaver[ and html] work

working with dreamweaver was a lot more interesting and fun than i expected. i preffered working with dreamweaver as opposed to html because the procedure in dreamweaver was a lot more straight forward .

I would very much like to explore dreamweaver a lot more in future technology classes

my home page- is a title and short introduction

school work- contains my technology classwork at the moment and my spanish project that i did on costa rican food a few weeks back

me- is facts about me and my family; how many we are, birthdays, jobs...

my future plans- includes the universities i would like to go to, where i see myself in a few years. performing arts isgoing to have pictures and summaries of plays i've been in and plays i'm going and hoping to be in.

kyle's digital portfolio- kyle nystrom is an interior designer, in his digital portfolio he talks about what he's been through to design rooms. i think kyle's portfolio is very interesting because the pictures are appropriately positioned, the colors[background] are dark but it still finds a way to stand out.the pistures display some projects he has worked on.the text that describe the pictures are detailed but only about 5-6 lines.

Maria Barone is a junior designer in new york and she talks about how her life as a designer is going. her portfolio has a lot of really interesting special effects but there arent alot of colors there are only 5 colors highlighting the options. she has no pictures but the fact that she has alot of special effects covers that up.
